Products of Labor: The Pi Mu Epsilon Regional Conference

On Friday, Nov. 7 and Saturday, Nov. 8, St. Norbert College hosted the Pi Mu Epsilon Regional Conference. Pi Mu Epsilon is the national honor society for mathematics. Every year, the St. Norbert PME chapter hosts a conference, inviting undergraduate students from schools in the area to come on campus to present their summer or semester research or independent study.

"Hoppers": A Bop or a Flop?

This weekend brought the release of Pixar’s new movie “Hoppers," and while I waited a few days to watch it at the local De Pere Cinema, I got acquainted with what to expect by reading review titles. It’s nice to see the De Pere Cinema is getting first releases of a movie instead of waiting a few weeks to show it. Here is my review of "Hoppers;" small spoilers ahead for parts of the movie.

An Electrifying Trombone Performance

On Saturday, Feb. 21, the group known as the Beltline Bones performed in Birder Hall and delivered a spectacular experience for everybody who attended. The group consists of tenor trombonists Cole Bartels, Justin Coyne, Zach Bethel and bass trombonist Adam Nissenbaum.

One of the most notable music festivals in the nation takes place right here in Wisconsin. Returning for the 58th year in summer 2026, Summerfest will once again be hosted in Milwaukee. Summerfest is a nine day long festival that takes place over the course of three weekends.

My Thoughts on Woolhaven

Cult of the Lamb is a game about a lamb trying to survive gods who are trying to kill him by running a cult. The game can be played a multitude of ways while still following the main goal of killing the heretics that threaten the player. This game is not everyone’s cup of tea, but it is an interesting game to at least check out and see the little animal characters that become your followers.

Even those who do not consider themselves football fans enjoy the entertainment it provides, showcasing fun commercials and a star-studded halftime show. The Super Bowl also serves as a great opportunity to host parties and see friends or family.

The Winter Olympics are already underway in Milan Cortina, Italy and attracting the attention of fans around the world. The Winter Olympics, held every four years, offer a unique opportunity for countries to send their best athletes to represent their nation in a series of competitions. Beyond instilling a reinvigorated sense of national pride, it also gives fans an opportunity to act as spectators to some of their favorite sports.
