Psychology professor Dr. Raquel Lopez resigned from St. Norbert College on Friday, Nov. 7, 2025. As of Thursday, Nov. 20, information regarding the circumstances of her resignation has not been shared with the college community.

Products of Labor: The Pi Mu Epsilon Regional Conference

On Friday, Nov. 7 and Saturday, Nov. 8, St. Norbert College hosted the Pi Mu Epsilon Regional Conference. Pi Mu Epsilon is the national honor society for mathematics. Every year, the St. Norbert PME chapter hosts a conference, inviting undergraduate students from schools in the area to come on campus to present their summer or semester research or independent study.

2025 Homecoming Week Recap

Homecoming Week proved to be quite the event on campus this year. With new and improved events taking place everyday of the week leading up to the big game on Saturday, students had ample opportunity to take part in the fun. This year, St. Norbert saw the return of some favorites such as the Cash Cab and Cannonball Contest, but students also got to take part in new festivities such as the highly anticipated Glowfest.

Sept. 15, 2025 marked the 10th anniversary of the hit indie game Undertale, which was originally released in 2015. Although it took a while to gain traction, once it did, it hit the ground running and took the internet by storm. EA Sold to Private Companies

On Sept. 29, 2025, EA announced that they were going to be officially selling their company to The Consortiums, which is made up of three different companies: Saudi Arabia’s PIF, Silver Lake and Affinity Partners. All three companies will take full ownership and further management of EA’s game titles moving forward, making EA a private company that no longer has shares or shareholders.

Doksany Hall is located right next to Hugh Hall, and just by looking at this building, I can tell it is very much haunted. A nun convent in the 1960s now turned into an all girls dorm, Doksany Hall houses 15 girls, and every step you take there is paired with some sort of creaking noise.

On Sept. 29, I met with the president of St. Norbert’s small but mighty Creative Writing Club, Abigail Walton (‘26). What the Sigma Tau Delta?

On Sept. 17, many students gathered together in the Mulva Library to be inducted into Sigma Tau Delta. The International English Honor Society, or Sigma Tau Delta, is an organization that dedicates itself to study and advocate for literature. The society has chapters all across colleges in the US and all over the world. Alpha Tau has been St. Norbert’s chapter of the society for many decades.

Weekly AI Talks at SNC

The St. Norbert College Information Technology Services department underwent many significant changes over the summer. The ITS Service Desk and the Tech Bar are now housed on the first floor of the Mulva Library, making their services more accessible to students. Beyond the new location, they have also extended their programs and initiatives to reach a broader audience. One such program is a weekly stream of AI talks.

The Keefe Herbarium Digitization Project

A herbarium functions like a library, considering pressed specimens as little packets of knowledge. Often, specimens will be loaned out or gifted between herbaria or individual collectors, but a much faster way to access that data is through digitization.

I know Sr. Marie Kolbe Zamora, OSF because she taught at my high school, and it is quite rare to have your high school teacher teaching at your college. The Class of 2029 is Knighted into the St. Norbert College Community

Together with the onset of the 2025-2026 school year on Monday, Aug. 25, the class of 2029 was officially knighted into the St. Norbert College community. After concerns were raised over budget cuts and removed majors, St. Norbert College still managed to preserve its appeal – and earn admiration – in the eyes of prospective students.
