Residential Meal Plan Requirement Details

First and second year students residing in the residence halls: Madeline/Lorraine, Bergstrom, Mary Minahan McCormick, Burke, Sensenbrenner, Victor McCormick, and St. Joseph hall are required to be on one of the Knight All-Access Meal Plans. Students will select their meal plan during the annual housing application process sign up; or, through the Campus Card website once the housing process is closed. Meal plans are optional for third year, fourth year and commuter students, regardless of where they are living. All meals must be used within each semester.

Meal Dollars balances will roll over fall semester to spring semester. Meal Dollars must be spent by the end of May each academic year.

Knight All-Access Bronze Meal Plan - $3,275/semester

• This is the base plan for residents and includes unlimited access to Ruth’s Marketplacefully serving 7 days a week plus $350 in Meal Dollars.

• Plan also includes 2 To-Go Meals per week.

• This is the minimum required meal plan for first and second year students residing in a residence hall. Students in their third year or greater can choose this as an optional plan.

• Base value plan as students will dine for about $27.85/day plus have the Meal Dollar flexibility for alternative dining in the retail operations and vending.

Knight All-Access Silver Meal Plan - $3,475/semester

• Our Double-Double plan: unlimited dine-in, 2x the Meal Dollars and 2x the to go meals from the Bronze Plan.
• This highly flexible plan for residents includes unlimited access to Ruth's Marketplace fully serving 7 days per week plus $700 in Meal Dollars.

• Plan also includes 5 To-Go Meals per week for ultimate portability.

• This plan is an alternative option for first and second year students residing in a residence hall required to be on one of the Knight All-Access plans. Students in their third year or greater can choose this as an optional plan.

• Designed for the busy student “on the go”, students will dine for about $26.43/day with enhanced carryout meal flexibility plus a higher initial allotment of Meal Dollars

Knight All-Access Gold Meal Plan - $3,475/semester

• This versatile plan for residents includes 250 meals to Ruth's Marketplace plus $900 in Meal Dollars.

• Plan also includes 2 To-Go Meals per week.

• This plan is an alternative option for first and second year students residing in a residence hall required to be on one of the Knight All-Access plans. Students in their third year or greater can choose this as an optional plan.

• Designed for the student who dines out often, this plan provides about 15/meals per week at a cost of $10.30 per meal plus the highest amount of Meal Dollars for maximum flexibility

Knight All-Access Platinum Meal Plan - $3,795/semester

• This is the ultimate plan for residents and includes 300 meals to Ruth’s Marketplace plus $1,100 in Meal Dollars.

• Plan also includes 2 To-Go Meals per week.

• This plan is an alternative option for first and second year students residing in a residence hall required to be on one of the Knight All-Access plans. Students in their third year or greater can choose this as an optional plan.

• Highly valuable and versatile plan providing about 19/meals per week with the lowest cost per meal ($8.98) plus the highest amount of Meal Dollars for maximum flexibility.

Meals and To-Go meals are redeemable at Ruth’s Marketplace. Meal Dollars may be redeemed at Phil’s, Ruth’s Marketplace (for guests or additional block meals), Ed’s Cafe, SNC Bookstore (food purchases only), and vending machines on campus. Meal Dollars are not available with Grubhub off-campus.

Terms and Conditions for Residential Plan

Meal plan contracts will automatically be renewed for the second semester. If there is a change in your enrollment status or residential living assignment, please refer to the residential meal plan changes and withdrawals.

Making Residential Meal Plan Changes

All meal plan changes for students who are required to be on the meal plan must be submitted to the Campus Card Office for approval. All meal plan changes must occur within the first two weeks of each semester. You may change your plan once during this time at no charge. Any additional changes during this time will result in a $25 service charge. Changes made after the two week period and before the end of the tenth week of the semester will result in a $75 late processing charge. Meals cannot be converted to Meal Dollars. No meal plan changes can be made after the tenth week of the semester.

Optional meal plans offer the discount priced meals plus ample balances of discretionary spending. The following are optional meal plan choices for third year, fourth year, and commuter students. Third year, fourth year, and commuter students also have the option to select any of the Knight All-Access Meal Plans. All meals must be used within the semester. Meal Dollars balances will roll over fall semester to spring semester. Meal Dollars must be spent by the end of May each year.

Green 110 Block Meal Plan - $1,895/semester

• Plan includes 110 block meals to use at Ruth’s Marketplace plus $800 in Meal Dollars.

• All meals can be used for dine-in or carryout per swipe.

• Optional plan for upperclassmen in their third year or greater and commuters.

• Plan provides about 7 meals per week throughout the semester.

• Designed for students who wish to eat 1 meal per day at Ruth's Marketplace, including weekends, for a cost of $9.95/meal plus about $50/week in Meal Dollar flexibility.

Gold 75 Block Meal Plan - $1,595/semester

• Plan includes 75 block meals to use at Ruth’s Marketplace plus $800 in Meal Dollars.

• All meals can be used for dine-in or carryout per swipe.

• Optional plan for upperclassmen in their third year or greater and commuters.

• Plan provides about 5 meals per week throughout the semester.

• Designed for students to dine weekdays in Ruth’s Marketplace for $10.60/meal plus about $50/week in Meal Dollar flexibility.

Norby’s 80 Block Meal Plan - $1,325/semester

• Plan includes 80 block meals to use at Ruth’s Marketplace plus $450 in Meal Dollars.

• All meals can be used for dine-in or carry out per swipe.

• Optional plan for upperclassmen in their third year or greater and commuters

• Plan provides about 4-5 meals per week throughout the semester.

• Economical plan for students to dine weekdays in Ruth’s Marketplace for $10.94/meal with about $30/week in Meal Dollars flexibility.

Norby’s 60 Block Meal Plan - $1,125/semester

• Plan includes 60 block meals to use at Ruth’s Marketplace plus $450 in Meal Dollars.

• All meals can be used for dine-in or carry out per swipe.

• Optional plan for upperclassmen in their third year or greater and commuters

• Plan provides about 3-4 meals per week throughout the semester.

• Entry level plan for students to dine in every other day Ruth’s Marketplace for $11.25/meal with about $30/week in Meal Dollars flexibility.

Norby’s 40 Block Meal Plan - $925/semester

• Plan includes 40 block meals to use at Ruth’s Marketplace plus $450 in Meal Dollars.

• All meals can be used for dine-in or carry out per swipe.

• Optional plan for upperclassmen in their third year or greater and commuters

• Plan provides about 2-3 meals per week throughout the semester.

• Entry level plan for students to dine in every other day Ruth’s Marketplace for $11.88/meal with about $30/week in Meal Dollars flexibility

Meal Dollars may be redeemed at Phil’s, Ruth’s Marketplace, Ed’s Cafe, SNC Bookstore (food purchases only), and vending machines on campus. Meal Dollars are not available for use with GrubHub off-campus.

Meal plan contracts will automatically be renewed for the second semester (excludes Optional Semester Block Meals) unless Campus Card Services is notified prior to the start of the semester.
