Happy Advisement Day! I hope you're using today in a way that's productive for you, whether that's meeting with your advisor, doing homework, completing student organization work, taking a mental health day, etc. Here's what you need to know for your student organization this week.
1. LeaderShop on Wednesday
We're presenting a LeaderShop on Wednesday at 4 pm (see the box below) about how to have a good transition to new officers for your student organization. Many organizations have elections prior to the end of the fall semester. Hopefully, that means you have some time to connect new officers with the departing officers and provide some time to continue to check in throughout the spring semester. However, that isn't always possible. We'll talk about how to set up new officers to be successful and what new officers can do if there wasn't a transition plan. Come join us!
2. Veterans Day Observation
Come to the Veterans Day observation on Thursday at 2 pm. See the event below.
3. EDI Program
Consider attending the event at the library, Archival Power: Telling Community Stories. This event is considered an equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) event. The information is below.
4. Submitting Posters for Approval
If you're making posters for an event or to publicize something your organization is doing, be sure to follow the posting policy. When you have the poster ready to be copied, you need to submit it through the Google form to be approved and then we send it on to the Print Center.
You're all doing a great job this semester! Good luck with classes as we get closer to the end of the semester.
