Welcome to the 5th Week of Classes!
We're about 1/3 of the way through the semester!
1. Graduation Cords & Pins
Last week, we were able to send emails out to group presidents about graduation cords and pins. We've gotten a few questions that may be questions you all have. Once you have permission for your group to wear cords or pins, you can reach out to the Bookstore about ordering cords. If your national organization has special pins, you typically have to order those from the organiztion. The Bookstore will want ONE person from your group to come tell them the name of your group, how many cords you'll want, and what color the cords should be. That person will become the Bookstore's contact. You'll need to figure out if you're collecting money to pay for everything together or if you're asking members to go pay individually. If you have additional questions, please let me know.
2. Admitted Student Day
Sign up for a table at Admitted student day on Sat. April 13 from 10-11:30 a.m. Admitted student day is one of the largest Admission events of the year and a great way to recruit future Green Knights to your organization!
Sign up by filling out this form by March 25th.
Questions? Email Kyra Kronberg at kyra.kronberg@snc.edu
3. Bias Incident Response Group (BIRG)
We'd like your help in keeping SNC campus welcoming by reporting incidents of bias.
This is defined as "behavior that is hostile, harassing, intimidating or discriminatory and is based on actual or perceived race, color, religion, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, disability or other difference".
Depending on the incident, BIRG can provide support/ education, review options for responding to or dealing with the situation and collect statistical data on behalf of the SNC community.
For information you can email birg@snc.edu or check out the website. You can submit a report here.
