Happy Week 2!
I hope that last week went well for you! I've heard a lot of students say they were very tired at the end of the week last week. Hopefully, you're getting used to being back and that this week won't feel as tiring.
1. Meetings with John - UPDATED LINK
Last week during the OrgConnect meeting, John encouraged student organization leaders to make appointments with him to keep him in the loop about your goals, etc. for this semester. Apparently, the link we sent last week didn't take you to the right place. Use this link to schedule an appointment.
2. Student Leadership Conference
We still have some spots left to attend the Student Leadership Conference on Saturday. You can register for free using the discount code SGALEADERSHIP. Click on the link below for the event and then click register. It will take you to the Box Offce website. There are breakout sessions about inclusive leadership, how to get better sleep, how to use your physical and mental space, how to plan and execute an event, how to run an effective meeting, how to keep students engaged, the art of resilience, how to build a team. Some of the presenters are Dr. Lucy Arendt, Derek Elkins, Sara Hamer, SGA officers - Stephanie Faudoa, Gio Basanese, Alyssa Tully, Meaghan Dutton, Sophie Yde, & Katie Dutton, Mason VanRossum, Lisa Burke, Sara Hamer, and others from other campuses!
3. Treasurers Meeting
If you're a new treasurer or need a refresher course, come to the Treasurers Meeting on Wednesday. The event link is below.
4. Beloved Community Week
There's a whole series of events this week about Beloved Community in recognition of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and they count as EDI events. Go to events in mySNC and filter by the MLK & Beloved Community event tag to find them all.
