Season of Creation
The Season of Creation extends from the World Day of Prayer for Care of Creation, Sept. 1, to the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, Oct. 4. It is a time set aside each year to focus on God’s gift of creation and our responsibility to care for our common home. The theme for the Season of Creation in 2023 is Let Justice and Peace Flow.
During the Season of Creation this year, SNC’s Laudato Si’ Working Group will share inspirational quotations from Pope Francis’ 2015 encyclical letter, Laudato Si’ in SNC News, under “A meditation for today.”

Thin Place
Sunday, Sept. 10
Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. –Ephesians 4:3
Thin Place is a Christian gathering to help students give life meaning by cultivating faith, being in community and growing in wisdom. The group gathers twice each month on Sundays to share dinner and conversation. One gathering is a worship service with Holy Communion served by a local minister; the other gathering is a space to build community and be creative.
Welcome to all who are loud/quiet, gay/straight, dark/light, book-loving, Netflix-binging and every which human way. In God, all are welcome and all are one.
