Learning management system upgrade: Moving from Moodle to Canvas
After extensive review, the college has approved the recommendation to transition its learning management system from Moodle to Canvas. Key benefits of transitioning to Canvas include an intuitive user interface, mobile friendly experience, easier gradebook and cost savings.
This migration will occur in phases, beginning spring semester. Students can expect to have some classes in Moodle and some classes in Canvas, with the full migration completed by Fall 2024. More information can be found on the Canvas implementation website.
Thank you for your cooperation and support. The college is excited to provide a new, modern and mobile-friendly learning environment.
