Join us for a special event on November 15th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, taking place on Baer Mall (or Gazebo in case of rain).

Smudging, an integral practice for many Indigenous communities, holds profound cultural significance.

What is Smudging?
Smudging is a spiritual ceremony observed by Indigenous communities worldwide. For the Anishinaabeg (Ojibwe) people, it involves the sacred burning of four essential medicines: tobacco, cedar, sage, and sweet grass. These medicines find representation in the revered Medicine Wheel—a circle divided into four quadrants, each layer holding deep cultural significance.

Let's come together to honor this tradition and gain a deeper understanding of its cultural importance. We look forward to seeing you there!
