Attention Managers
If you have incoming students currently working as temporary or pool workers, please connect with the HR office(email: hr@snc.edu) for us to transition them to student workers.

Workday Delegation
Please remember that things like payroll processing still need to happen while you are away. Staff should be sure to delegate Workday tasks (such as timesheet approvals) to their colleagues when away from campus for more than a few days.

Sporting Events - Spouses and Dependents
New spouse/dependent SNC athletic passes are now available for regular season sporting events (excludes postseason and hockey) entitling the holder to free admittance. You can pick up passes in the HR office in the Garden (Lower) Level of Main Hall. The pass is good for the 2026-2027 academic year. Each year we will have new passes with the start of the Fall Semester to use for that year.

Defensive Driving
Any “Driver” (student, faculty, staff, volunteer, contractor, or norbertine) who plans on driving a St. Norbert College-owned, leased or rented vehicle (for road use) under the name of St. Norbert College, must complete the SNC Driving/MVR Registration form so their respective Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) can be reviewed. You must be at least 18 years old to drive a St. Norbert College-owned, leased, or rented vehicle. Students will be required to complete an online Defensive Driving course.

Students - Those who are employees will be assigned Defensive Driving training on-line through Workday (upon hire in an eligible position) while those students who are not employees will be assigned Defensive Driving Training directly through Vector Solutions manually. Students must complete the course and have a “passing” grade.

All Drivers - MVRs must be obtained and approved prior to operating a motor vehicle for St. Norbert College by completing the SNC Driving/MVR Registration Form.

Drivers shall have their MVR reviewed every 4 years.  Please read the full policy and procedures from the HR website.

Health Plan & Other Benefits

Tuition Waiver Application
The deadline for submitting applications for the College's Tuition Waiver Benefit for the 2027/2028 academic year is September 30, 2026.

If the student is a degree seeking candidate a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) needs to be completed no later than January 1, 2027. The 2027-2028 FAFSA will be available around October 1, 2026. On the FAFSA website use school code 003892. The Financial Aid Office can provide any additional information regarding the FAFSA requirement.

Before you complete the application you may want to read the Tuition Waiver Policy to learn about eligibility requirements. You must complete the Tuition Waiver Application for each individual that you are requesting to use the waiver for the 2027/2028 school year.

NOTE: When submitting the amount of credits for Fall, January, Spring, and Summer, you may want to enter credits for January and Summer even if you aren’t sure the applicant will take any courses during that time. This way you will not have to resubmit another application form if the applicant does decide to take a course(s) during that time.

After you complete the Tuition Waiver application(s) you will receive an email reply that contains the information you submitted. You will be notified separately if there is an issue with your application or eligibility.

The email for Tuition Exchange and that application process will be sent the first week of September separate from the SNC Waiver process.

Tuition Exchanges at Other Institutions for 2027/2028 School Year
St. Norbert College currently participates in two tuition exchange programs.  Since participation in an exchange is a scholarship rather than a benefit, acceptance into an exchange is not guaranteed.  If you meet eligibility requirements, you, your spouse and dependent children may apply for a scholarship award of tuition at colleges and universities that participate in these exchange programs.  Only undergraduate course work is eligible.  The SNC policy provides more details about eligibility.

FIRST STEP!
Please submit a completed  TE/CIC Internal Exchange Application by December 1st, 2026.  Everyone must do this for initial and renewal applications.

SECOND STEP!
Complete the online TE EZ Application by December 1st, 2026 for new students only or students that did not receive an award with any previous applications.  NEW THIS YEAR!!  -  Both Exchanges (TE and CIC) are now combined into one application.  The most current listing of participating schools is available on the exchange website.

Continuing TE Scholars (those already receiving a Tuition Exchange Scholarship, FACHEX Scholarship, or CIC-TEP* Scholarship) should not submit an application.  There are only three reasons to submit another TE EZ-Application: 1) if you plan to transfer to another TE, FACHEX, or CIC-TEP* school or 2) if your parent changes employers and now works for a new TE school or 3) You applied for a TE, FACHEX, or CIC-TEP Scholarship in the prior year and were not awarded one, and are seeking to re-apply for the upcoming year.

What happens after you apply for the CIC or TE exchange(s)?
Completing the application on their website is the first step. The school to which you apply then determines if they will award you an exchange scholarship.  Each school sets its own policies for evaluating exchange applications.  They may also vary in the amount/percentage of tuition that is waived. You should directly contact the specific institution for answers to these questions.  Institutions generally will not consider an exchange application unless the student has been admitted.  Liaison officers at each institution will update the websites of their decision on each exchange application.  Communication will go to the student.  The time frame for responses varies from institution to institution.

If your exchange application has been approved by the school to which you applied (and you attend), it can remain in effect for up to eight semesters as long as the student maintains the academic and conduct standards of the exchange institution. This scholarship award program (for SNC exports) assumes the same eligibility requirements as those of the Tuition Waiver. Typically, summer sessions are counted as a semester. J-terms are not counted or applicable under Tuition Exchange.  If the school to which you applied denies your exchange application, you may reapply the following year.

On Site Clinic Promotion for September
High blood pressure often has no symptoms - but can lead to heart attack, kidney disease, or dementia.  Schedule an appointment to check your blood pressure, and if needed, learn ways to keep your blood pressure under control.  This is exclusively for employees on an SNC Health Plan.
