Setting Goals
Staff and managers can set and update performance goals at any time throughout the year by following the Setting Goals job aid.
❤️February Is Heart Health Month
February is American Heart Month, a great reminder to take care of the most important muscle we have.
A few simple ways to support heart health during the workday:
Move a little more: A 10-minute walk or stretch break can improve circulation and reduce stress.
Mind your stress: Short breaks, deep breathing, or stepping away from your screen really do help.
Stay hydrated: Water supports heart health and energy levels—keep that bottle nearby.
Know your numbers: Regular checkups and preventative care can make a big difference.
HR Tip: Many of our benefits support heart health, from preventative screenings and wellness resources to EAP services for stress management. If you’re not sure what’s available to you, HR is always happy to help point you in the right direction.
Let’s take care of ourselves and each other this month.

Flexible Spending - Incurring and Submitting Expenses
For those of you participating in the Flexible Spending Plan for 2025, please remember that you must incur expenses on or before 12/31/25 in order for that expense to qualify for reimbursement with the plan year of 1/1/25 – 12/31/25. The due date to submit expenses is always 90 days (3/31/26) after the end of the plan year (12/31/25). If you don’t submit expenses before 3/31/26, you will not be eligible for reimbursement.
Rollover Provision - any unused amount (but not more than $660) remaining at the end of a Plan Year in a Participant’s Flexible Spending Health Care Account will be carried over to (and be available for reimbursements of qualifying Health Care Expenses incurred in) the following Plan Year with no effect on the run-out period ONLY if you are also enrolled in the next plan year. Please contact Associated Bank at 1-800-270-7719 for help on claims or reimbursements.
1095C Tax Forms
1095-C forms will be available via Workday around mid February. The 1095-C form includes information about the health insurance coverage offered to you by St. Norbert College. As part of the Paperwork Burden Reduction Act passed December 2024, SNC is no longer required to send these forms but will still be required to have them available if a person wants to view or print their form. You do not need this form to file your taxes!
Critical Illness
Reminder - The College pays for Critical Illness insurance for only those on the HDHP Plans to help with the costs of certain major life/medical events. This will help ease the financial burden of medical bills for conditions/diagnosis of Heart Attack, Kidney Failure, Stroke, Coronary Artery Bypass, Cancer, and many more. Critical Illness Insurance doesn’t replace your medical coverage; instead, it complements it. The benefit payments don’t go out to pay for medical bills or treatments you may need, instead they come in— directly to you—to be used however you’d like. Up to $10,000 may be available for covered conditions and diagnoses. Please click this link to learn more.

Workday Delegation
Please remember that things like payroll processing still need to happen while you are away. Staff should be sure to delegate Workday tasks (such as timesheet approvals) to their colleagues when away from campus for more than a few days.
