Do I need to fill out a FAFSA every year?
You’ll need to complete the FAFSA every year, because need-based financial aid such as grants, student loans and federal work-study is recalculated on an annual basis. Some financial aid funds are limited at SNC, with priority given to students who complete the FAFSA by Feb. 1. You can find your financial aid offer in the student portal starting in April.
Is there a minimum GPA required to qualify for financial aid?
You must maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA at the end of each spring term to qualify for future aid, and individual scholarships may have higher minimum requirements.
What are the requirements for renewing my merit scholarship?
For all merit-based scholarships, students must maintain full-time enrollment status and meet the cumulative GPA requirements for their specified scholarship. Get the details about SNC merit scholarship requirements.
Can I appeal the loss of my scholarship?
We understand that life can present challenges that make it difficult to reach your goals. If you feel that you have lost your scholarship due to extenuating circumstances, you may submit a Scholarship Appeal Form.
Are there any additional scholarships that I can apply for as a current student?
Yes! Some scholarship options are limited to first-year students, but there are plenty of others you can apply for as a current student. These include:
Army ROTC scholarships
Outside scholarships
Study abroad scholarships
Research fellowships
