Thank you for visiting our website. Below are the most frequent questions we get in the Study Abroad Office.
Am I eligible to study abroad?
Every SNC student may study abroad, regardless of major or minor. Once you’ve been enrolled at SNC for two consecutive semesters, you’re eligible for our study abroad programs. You must have a minimum 2.5 GPA in order to study abroad, and you can’t be on academic probation
Where can my global studies take me?
From Australia to Spain and Italy, Japan to Mexico, Jordan to South Africa, SNC offers over 35 study abroad programs in nearly 20 countries.
Will study abroad work with my class schedule?
There are global studies to fit every schedule! You can choose from year-long programs, semester-long programs or short-term global seminars offered during J-term or in the summer as part of Maymester.
Can I afford it?
For semester exchange programs, tuition is charged at the current SNC rate and you're able to apply your full financial aid package, including SNC scholarships. For non-exchange programs, tuition and fees vary. The budget sheets for each program can be found in our study abroad application portal. You may also qualify for additional study abroad scholarships.
Do the courses I take while studying abroad count toward my SNC degree?
Absolutely! We’ll help you choose courses that fulfill the requirements for your major(s), minor(s) and/or core curriculum requirements, so you’ll graduate on time.
