On Thursday, March 21, 2024, St. Norbert College had its 10th annual Giving Day, called “A Day to uKnight.” Any donation received on that day was matched by an anonymous donor to the college.
The College Advancement team set up camp on the first floor of Todd Wehr Hall. The space was peppered with decorations celebrating Giving Day. Dotted around were workstations for College Advancement employees and student workers from the Engagement Center, as well as games set up for visitors. Everyone worked from morning until afternoon soliciting donations to the St. Norbert Fund, the general scholarship fund or specific athletic or academic funds.
Throughout the day, there were also donation challenges that would add more money to the total donations. Some of the challenges include the Early Bird Challenge and the Lunch Time Crunch Time Challenge, which were met. Another challenge was the Favorite Hall Challenge, which was to see which residence hall would raise the most money. Victor McCormick Hall was the winner, raising over $18,000.
Overall, the campaign did well, raising over $530,000 by midnight with close to 800 donors.
