Attend Study Abroad Pre Advisory Sessions

Contact Study Abroad Office, Study different programs, Attend the mandatory Pre-Advisory Sessions, Talk to study Abroad Alumni

Order SNC transcript, Submit Letter of Commitment

Order an electronic SNC Transcript and have it sent to the Study Abroad Office, Send an email of Commitment to Study Abroad Office. The email should include: Your name, ID number, Study Abroad program, and Term/Year

Get Nominated & Receive Letter of Acceptance

SNC Study Abroad Office will nominate students to their interested program. Students will wait for 2 weeks before they receive the letter of acceptance

Apply for Visa and Other Travel Documents ( if applicable)

Some countries will require VISA to attend enter. Please study the process of visa application carefully before you apply for the host programs.

Create a list of Course Selection

Students will need to take 12-15 credits while they are abroad. Please consult with the academic advisors when selecting courses from the host program

Select Housing Option from the Host Program

Host program will contact students individually for housing options. The costs vary.

Purchase your Flight Tickets

Wait for both Letter of Acceptance and Visa approval before booking the flights. Please choose a reputable airline company that provide better customer services.

Contact SNC Financial Aids and Explore Scholarship Opportunities

Contact the Office of Financial Aid to confirm the amount of tuition that will be charge to your account, explore the scholarship opportunities.

Attend Pre-Departure Orientation

Attend the mandatory Pre-Departure Orientation. Register for STEP, SOS Health Insurance and VIA Safety feature

Receive Invoices from both St. Norbert College and the Host Program

Receive Invoices from two places: SNC Student Account Services and Host Program

Prepare for Departure

Pay the tuition in full before your departure. Create a packing list for prescriptions, personal belongings, and travel documents.

Study Abroad

Attend Orientation, stay safe and keep close contact with family, friends and SNC Study Abroad Office
