Interim Title IX coordinator appointed
Sarah Olejniczak's last day at St. Norbert College will be Friday, Oct. 20. As the search for a new Title IX coordinator is underway, Gail Cornelius will serve as the interim Title IX coordinator, focusing on the most critical tasks of the position, specifically related to case intake, management of formal complaints and overall compliance needs.
Gail has served as a Title IX investigator for more than 10 years at two institutions. At SNC, she serves as both a Title IX investigator and an alternative resolution facilitator.
Please join in wishing Sarah well on her next chapter and in welcoming Gail to her new role as interim Title IX coordinator.

Month of Pride Teach-ins

All are invited to attend any of our Month of Pride Teach-ins hosted by faculty. They are a chance to shine a light on the LGBTQ+ experience through their various disciplines. Teach-ins will be hosted in the Mulva Library first-floor flex space.

EDI event: ¡Fiesta! Hispanic Heritage celebration

Every year, we gather to honor the rich cultural, academic and historical contributions of Hispanic Americans, both past and present. Join for an evening of festivities including a delicious dinner, an inspiring keynote by Rogelio Contreras, captivating performances by Dance Academy of Mexico, and an exciting drawing for prizes from local Hispanic-owned businesses. Tickets are $10 for students and $13 for faculty/staff and visitors.

Ninth annual Color the Campus Cystic Fibrosis Color Run
Saturday, Oct. 21
Delta Phi Epsilon invites you to color the campus on Oct. 21 at 2 p.m. in front of the Campus Center! All donations and purchases of the Color Run T-shirt will go directly to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Cystic fibrosis, or CF, is a rare, genetic disease that progressively limits the ability to breathe and tragically shortens the lives of those who are born with it. With your support, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) continues to lead the way in the fight against CF, fueling extraordinary medical and scientific progress. All proceeds from this event will fund research and treatment that will one day make CF stand for Cure Found. Registration will cost $10, use the link to register to run!

Fall 2023 Pilgrim Forum Lecture: “Lively Conversations: Meeting Our Mother and Each Other at U.S. Shrines to the Virgin Mary”

Having journeyed through the Apostles' Creed from “I believe” to “Amen,” the Pilgrim Forum turns its attention to leaders and models of faith, purposefully considering what we can learn from the lives of saints, popes and Mother Mary.
Karen Park (Theology and Religious Studies), in the second offering of this series, will discuss the metaphor of “conversation” as a way to understand shrines to Mary across the U.S., using examples from her forthcoming edited volume, “American Patroness: Marian Shrines and the Making of US Catholicism.”

St. Norbert College Swims Against Cancer
Saturday, Oct. 28
Approximately 40 percent of people will be diagnosed with cancer during their lifetimes. Essentially, these diagnoses will affect all of us in one way or another. Swim Across America is a great opportunity for SNC community members to participate in, as it raises funding for groundbreaking research and allows for purposeful impact nationwide. Join the men’s and women's swim and dive teams in fighting the Waves Against Cancer. You may also form your own team or join individually.
