Apply today for new Spring 2024 course Black Theology (THRS 307)
Black Theology (AD-DD, CENG) examines and enriches the Christian theological tradition through the past and present experiences of Black people. Focusing on the U.S. context, participants will learn about Black history, Black philosophy and special topics in Black theological thought. As a community-engaged course, students will also work with local Christian congregations to craft experiences that will deepen their anti-racist commitments. Course participants will also be invited to attend a funded Civil Rights tour of various cities in Georgia and Alabama in January to help contextualize the work of the spring semester.

Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a Mexican tradition that celebrates the lives of departed family and friends. Join Nov. 2 for a prayer service and blessing of the ofrenda. You are invited to bring a photograph or memento of your loved one to add to the altar.
