Thin Place
Sunday, Nov. 5
“Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” Ephesians 4:3
Thin Place is a Christian gathering to help students give life meaning by cultivating faith, being in community, and growing in wisdom. The group gathers twice each month on Sundays to share dinner and conversation. One gathering is a worship service with Communion served by a local minister, and the other gathering is a space to build community and be creative. Welcome to all who are loud/quiet, gay/straight, dark/light, book-loving, Netflix-binging, and every which human way. In God, we are welcome and we are one.

Archival Power: Telling Community Stories
Thursday, Nov. 9
Local archives and museums, with the help of their communities, gather and document the ways that people interact with each other and the world: how communities find space for joy despite oppression, documenting inter-community conflict, and collecting tales of people advocating for their communities through activism. Hear from local archivists, including our very own, and museum representatives to learn how curators and archivists collect stories from people in their communities; how they preserve stories of conflict, perseverance and joy; and all the challenges that come with documenting the many histories created every day. A special SNC archives display will be featured as well.
